Series Summary
is inspired by the classic French literary character, Arsène Lupin, created by author Maurice Leblanc, and follows the story of Assane Diop, a man who uses his love for the Lupin character to seek revenge against the wealthy family who framed his father for a crime he did not commit.
Assane, played by Omar Sy, is a master thief and skilled manipulator who uses his intelligence and charisma to pull off elaborate heists while staying one step ahead of the police. The show blends elements of action, suspense, and humor, as Assane navigates the dangerous world of high-stakes crime and works to clear his father's name.
The series also explores themes of identity, class, and family, as Assane grapples with his own past and struggles to reconcile with his estranged ex-wife and son.
"Lupin" has been a global hit, praised for its thrilling plot, charismatic lead performance by Sy, and its clever nods to the original Lupin character. The show has been renewed for a second season, with the first season consisting of five episodes, each running approximately 45-55 minutes long.
The series was created by George Kay and François Uzan, and produced by French production company, Gaumont Télévision.
